Validity is in accordance with the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Duration: 2 hours in a face-to-face classroom environment and provided mandatory pre-work

In this course participants learn essential life-saving skills, including CPR, wound care, and how to respond effectively during emergencies. The course equips individuals with the knowledge needed to provide initial medical assistance, promote safety, and stabilise injured individuals until professional help arrives.

Handling unconscious casualties

Understanding of using a defibrillator (AED)

Roles and legal responsibilities of the first aider

Managing bleeding, burns, fractures, dislocations and other injuries

Managing medical conditions such as allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, asthma, strokes and seizures

Poison management such as bites, stings, and choking

Safety and risk management

Eligibility and Requirements
Compulsory requirements:
All students must present a total of 100 points of identification as proof of identity on the day of training with appropriate documentation.
